Food, Blood and other Testing
Food, Blood and other Testing
Testing in medicine is used to confirm/rule-out a diagnosis or monitor the progression of disease or treatment. Although most often done with a blood sample, testing can be conducted on many different samples, including hair, skin, stool, urine, saliva or any other secretion. Although not always necessary, testing can be a useful tool in helping guide treatment but can also be too heavily relied upon.
Food sensitivity testing is a way of finding out what foods might bother you that you’re not aware of and that may be contributing to your overall condition.
Our Approach
Dr. Tim encourages you to keep a good relationship with your family doctor so that you can get access to blood tests for free, but in the event that further testing is needed he can also request it. Dr. Tim offers two types of food testing, either IgG antibody testing, or in-house electro-dermal-sensitivity testing. He will also review any labs that you provide him and educate you about your results.
